Redskin Receivers to Attend Thanksgiving Weekend Show
Two well-known wide receivers from a previous era of football will be at the Virginia Bazaar on November 27 to help raise money for the Optimist Club of Caroline County.
Frank Grant and Hall of Famer Charley Taylor, two wideouts who thrilled fans of the Washington Redskins in the 1960s and 1970s, will be signing autographs as guests of the Optimist Club. Grant will sign from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Taylor will sign from 12:00 Noon to 2 p.m. Each player will also be available for photographs at no extra charge.
Net proceeds from the signings will go to the Optimist Club and its mission to serve youth in Caroline County.

Walker, Madlock, Harrelson Join Sports Festival Lineup
Optimist Club President Percy Ashcraft has announced three all-time greats who have agreed to attend the Caroline County Winter Sports Festival.
NBA All-Star Chet Walker and baseball All-Stars Bill Madlock and Bud Harrelson will join an exciting lineup of guests who will attend the festival scheduled for March 5-6, 2011 at the Caroline Community Services Center.
Walker is scheduled to attend on Saturday, March 5 and Madlock and Harrelson will be in attendance on Sunday, March 6. Autographs are $10 for any item. Children under 12 are free.
All three players played on championship teams in their respective sports. Walker won a championship while playing for the 1967 Philadelphia 76ers; Madlock on the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates; and Harrelson on the 1969 New York Mets.
The Winter Sports Festival is held in partnership with the Caroline County Parks & Recreation Department. It raises funds for the Optimist Club of Caroline County, whose mission is to serve youth. The Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Admission is free for the event and photos and other sports memorabilia will be available from the vendors present.
